Basic Chiropody Basic Chiropody consists of a thorough assessment and treatment for nail care, thickened nails, fungal  nail infections, callus and corns, verruca's. Footcare advice  will be given should it be necessary. Nail Surgery Under Local Anaesthetic (as you have at the Dentist) the toe is made numb. Should you require a portion or all of the nail  removed, this can then be undertaken with no pain. Prescription Orthotics Prescription Orthotics are orthopaedic inserts or inner soles, these fit into the shoe to correct any deformities. The types of common conditions that orthotics are ideal for are flat feet, out-toeing (especially in children), also shin splints together with knee, back and neck pain.
